A custom horsehair inlay leather cross is a meaningful way to honor that bond, whether your horse is still by your side or lives on in memory. Each piece is carefully handcrafted to preserve something truly irreplaceable.
These crosses are perfect to:
• Tie onto your saddle
• Hang in your trailer or tack room
• Add a key ring to carry as a keychain or attach to a purse
How to Order
Simply choose:
• Base leather color
• Concho option (type “none” if you do not want one)
Then mail your horsehair to me.
How Much Hair Do I Send?
This is the most common question, and the short answer is:
A small amount is all that’s needed, but sending extra is encouraged.
• Needed amount: approximately a small pinch of hair
(about the thickness of a pencil to a Sharpie marker)
• Length: at least 12 inches
• Hair should be clean, dry, and all similar length/thickness
👉 Every horse’s hair is different, so if you’re unsure, send a little extra.
Any unused hair is always returned with your finished piece.

You will receive the mailing address for sending your horsehair in that reply.
